About First Lutheran Church

We are a very traditional, small, but growing congregation.

First Lutheran Church in Lufkin was founded February 27, 1941.

Our Pastor is Rev. Ken Bunge, and his wife, Carol, is our organist.

We have a committed congregational body, but we have room for and welcome more.

Our mission is:

To receive the eternal gifts of our Lord through the preaching of His Word and in His Body and Blood shed for the forgiveness of sins;

To call each other to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ;

To baptize all nations and teach all that the Lord has commanded;

To help and encourage the head of each household in teaching in a simple way what the Bible teaches for the salvation of sinners.
