About Fountain Of Life Bible Church

A Brief History

Fountain Of Life Bible Church began on Sunday, October 27th, 1985 in a storefront building located in Boones Creek, Tennessee. The church was founded by its current pastor, Dr. Victor Young who was led of the Lord to start a new and rather unique ministry here in East Tennessee. Mr. Leo Young , Vic’s beloved father, was also very instrumental in the establishing, as well as, the naming of the new fellowship. The Lord disclosed to Leo that the church should be called, “Fountain of Life,” from the verse, Psalm 36:9 “For with thee is the fountain of life, in thy light we see light.” Due to the successful business ventures of Mr. Leo Young, he was able to bless the newly found church with financial stability during its infancy. He purchased land and a large two-story church building that was moved to its present location.
The uniqueness of Fountain of Life is seen in its enormous growth since its beginning and in its evangelistic outreach to the world. “Whosoever will” may come to this church and find acceptance and know the unconditional love of God through its members. The common public nickname for the congregation is, “the Biker Church,” because of the former bikers who are part of the church family. Also, the church is sometimes referred to as, “the island of misfit toys,” because of the care and acceptance of all people regardless of personal appearance or circumstances. Thousands of lives have been changed by God through the ministries of FLBC.

In 1999 Fountain of Life became a member of the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches. The Fellowship involves more than 1250 churches in more than 20 countries. The corporate headquarters for the FGBC are located in Winona Lake, Indiana
