There are two worship services on Sunday morning with a Sunday School hour in between (details below). The Worship services consist of worship in song, pastoral prayer, offering, and preaching. There is a special emphasis on the faithful, expository preaching of the Word of God each Sunday. We observe the Lord's Supper monthly. We also have Baptism, Child Dedication, Membership and other special observances throughout the year.

Heritage Service (8:30 am)*

This service blends hymns and praise songs. It is led by a worship leader and choir accompanied by organ and piano. This service is also led by an orchestra on occasion.

Sunday School & All of Life Discipleship Institute (10:00 am) (Resumes September 11, 2016)

This hour is devoted to smaller gatherings for all ages. There are many classes that meet based on topic or stage of life.

Celebration Service (11:15 am)*

This service features current worship songs and contemporary hymns. It is led by a worship team and accompanied by a live band.

About Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church

In 1889 several families who longed to know and serve God began meeting for worship in a small house on Gordon Street in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Since then, the meeting place of this group of believers has changed three times, and its understanding of doctrine has undergone some maturing adjustment, but the church itself continues in its desire for intimate fellowship with God and fervent ministry to others in Jesus' name.

By the early 1960's the spiritual descendents of the Gordon Street church were called the Bethel Bible Fellowship Church, and their building was located on 8th Street in Allentown. They planted a daughter church on 12 acres outside of town on Cedar Crest Boulevard. This new church, Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church, grew to the point that in 1978 the downtown church merged with it. The result of that merger, and subsequent spiritual and numerical growth, is the present day Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church. Expanding facilities and continued growth have enabled us to be a lighthouse for biblical teaching and a hub for compassionate service at a strategic location in the Lehigh Valley.

Our history gives us a unique "flavor". We acknowledge the influence of various streams of Christianity. We originally came from a Mennonite tradition, but have also embraced much from the Bible church movement. Although our origins a Wesleyan doctrinal statement, our history has been characterized by a desire for and a pursuit of Biblical purity, and our doctrinal statements are now Reformed in emphasis. The history of our denomination can be found at our denominational website Click Here.

In addition to our growing congregation our facilities house Lehigh Christian Academy - an elementary school with approximately 350 students in Kindergarten through eighth grade. Several community groups use the buildings weekly, and we annually host concerts and other strategic ministry events. We also maintain Camp Bethel - a rugged 72 acre retreat center in the Pocono Mountains.
