About Abundant Life Healing Fellowship Church

Vision

To provide a place and atmosphere for God and His people, where the Word of God is preached and taught; thus producing healing for the whole man, spirit, soul and body. For Jesus said, “I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly.” (St. John 10:10b)

History

In July of 1993, Elder Steven Walker started a weekly Bible Study, “Fellowship”, with just five men at its inception. As these men enjoyed hearing Elder Walker expound on the Word of God, they began to spread the word and invite others, and the fellowship exponentially grew to the point that the initial meeting location was outgrown within a few weeks. As time progressed, and the fellowship continued to grow, Elder Walker began earnestly seeking the Lord for next steps. After much prayer, the Lord did confirm his intent and gave Elder Walker a name for the fellowship—Abundant Life Healing Fellowship Church. It became immediately evident that God’s hand was upon the “Fellowship”. On October 23, 1994, our Father and Bishop Jimmie Ellis, III of Victory Christian Center of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania installed Elder Steven Walker to the office of Pastor over the Abundant Life Healing Fellowship Church which officially became a church on January 1, 1995.

The ministry then moved to its current location at 100 North Sixty-Third Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in November 1996. The Abundant Life Healing Fellowship Church is a non-denominational and culturally diverse entity in the Body of Christ, which continues to thrive and grow on a constant stream of God’s anointing.

In June 2010, our Father and Bishop Jimmie Ellis, III declared his apostolic intent to elevate Pastor Walker to the office of Bishop in the Lord’s Church. The Board of Elders, a College of Bishops and the cover-lings of Kinsmen Fellowship did second that motion and on Saturday, October 22, we joined in aggregation and celebration as God elevated our Pastor and consequently us to a new level of service in our Lord’s Kingdom.

Bishop Walker is relentless in his leadership commitment to 21st Century Evangelism, always keeping the mission of the Abundant Life Healing Fellowship Church ever present, which is: Rebuilding Lives Through Fellowship and the Word. While it is evident that the revelatory teaching of Bishop Walker is planted in the rich presence of God and manifestation of His mighty power; the purpose of his ministry is: To provide a place and atmosphere for God and His people, where the Word of God can be preached and taught, thus producing healing for the whole man, spirit, soul and body. For Jesus said, “I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10b

Under his leadership and through many innovative ministries in the humanities, life support, arts, leadership and a number of communities of interest groups and programs, the Abundant Life Healing Fellowship Church has expanded in advancing the Kingdom of God. Because of the calling on his life, Bishop Walker’s exalted leadership style and dynamic teaching style has enabled people to experience profound spiritual healing and breakthrough. His assignment is clear…Building, Motivating and Empowering.
