About Salem Alliance Church

In 1921, seven individuals banded together with a dream to plant a church to reach their city and touch their world to the honor of Jesus Christ. The dream of a church reaching the city and the world became a reality and has grown to what is known today as Salem Alliance Church, a part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination. Locations and names may have changed over the years, but the vision and heart embodied by our humble beginnings haven't. Jesus had a beautiful way of interacting with the people of His day. He touched the untouchable, accepted the rejected, and taught with creativity and authority. John, a disciple and one of His closest friends, described this beauty when he wrote, "grace and truth came through Jesus Christ." It is my hope that you will not only notice this beauty at Salem Alliance, but that you'll experience it.

Children and Youth Activities

Wednesday Nights
From October through May, we provide activities for children ages birth through 5th grade while parents are involved in small groups or Confident Kids.

Confident Kids
A support and recovery program designed to help families develop skills for healthy living. Five units help children learn skills for living successfully in high stress situations. Units are titled: Living in my Family, Growing Through Change, Making Wise Decisions, All My Feelings are OK, and Telling Myself the Truth. Units are eight weeks long, accompanied by a parent support group each session. Classes are limited to 25 children. Participation only by registration, interview and acceptance. This fall's session is Living in My Family.

Parent Serve in Omni
Parents serve once every six weeks in their child's classroom. This partnering of parents with preschool volunteers and staff provides:

More individualized attention for children
The maintaining of a proper child/adult ratio
Opportunity for parents to see into their child's church world
