When you come and visit with us we would like to give you an idea of what to expect.
JUST CHRISTIANS :
We don't have any denominational names or practices.We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and it is our authority in religion. We have no man made creeds to set forth doctrine because that is what the Bible is for. ( 2 Timothy 3:16-17 )
Christ's Authority :
Jesus Christ is our Lord and we give respect to his authority.Jesus said in (Luke 6:46 ) "And why call me, 'Lord,Lord,'and do not what I say?". So adding to or taking away, is to fail to Honor him as Lord. We don't have any councils ect. or any earthly headquaters because it has not been authorized.( Matthew 15:3-9 )
The Gospel Message is for All :
Through the Gospel message all are invited to accept God's gift of eternal life through his Son. ( Romans 6:23 )
God's plan for salvation calls for -
1. Repentance (Acts 20:21)
2. Confessing Jesus as Lord (Romans 10:10)
3. Baptism ( emersed in water) for the remission of
sins (Acts 2:38)
4. Followed by a life of "faithful service" to Christ
(Revelation 2:10)
We would be happy to study the Bible with you on the wonderful words of Jesus Christ and how one should respond to it.
The Nature of the Church :
All who are in fellowship with Christ are members of his spiritual body,the church universal(1 Corinthians 12:12,Colossians 1:18) The universal church is a spiritual body,with Jesus as its head and saved people throughout the world as members of His body
(Ephesians 1:22-23;Acts 2:47).As such,the universal church has no earthly organization.When Christians extend fellowship to one another in worship or work, you find a congregation or local church. In the Bible you can read about local groups in Jerusalem,Rome,
and other places. These were not different kinds of groups as are so much seen today,but just congregations of Christians in different places.
