About The Sanctuary

The Sanctuary is a church made up of imperfect people with every kind of story imaginable. We are located in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and everyone is welcomed here. We live to build a strong community united with the aim of advancing God's Kingdom. We want to serve the community around us and be a place "where God's love is our refuge."
Here's the deal, The Sanctuary cares about one thing more than anything else, Jesus Christ. The Sanctuary is a family of individuals that have found hope in Jesus, and simply want as many people as possible to experience that exact same freedom. We at the Sanctuary believe that when Jesus called His message “the Gospel” (Good News or good tidings) that He really meant it! I think most of us have met Christians who have a way of making the good news bad news!
We try very hard not to do that but that doesn’t mean we compromise biblical truth! We understand that repentance (turning from sin and to God) is a big part of the Good news. We have chosen to focus on the grace of God’s forgiveness and the power of the Holy Spirit to change those areas of our life that need to be addressed. We all have struggles that we are trying to overcome, and we all long to be accepted as we fight against those things. Trying to balance love, forgiveness and accountability is what we are about at the Sanctuary. We encourage our people to “do what they can, when they can, the best they can, with no condemnation!”
