We believe that through God’s grace, forgiveness and healing can be found. We have seen lives changed, marriages restored, and hearts mended by Christ. Center United Methodist Church is here for you. It is not just a church. It is a fellowship of believers coming together to declare the glory of the Lord and celebrate Jesus as King. We study the Word, practice what learn and in the process grow together. Worship is at the heart of all we do at Center UMC. Our primary reason for gathering is to worship God, but the work of the church does not stop there! We make and share lasting friendships. We learn the needs of others and find compassion to help meet those needs.
We are served during special times of need by those who have knelt with us at Holy Communion, participated with us in Baptisms, joined with us in congregational prayer, and sung with us the great hymns of the church. Since 1858, Center United Methodist Church has been a vibrant, loving and mission-oriented community in service to the people of Center, the surrounding communities and the entire world. All we are and all we do flows from our common worship and love of God. We are able to reach out and love others because God first loved us. We have Sunday School after church (10:30 am.) Please volunteer for different age groups.
Children’s Church
We provide Children’s Church during our worship services. Volunteer to help our children.

Food distribution on the 2nd Friday of every month at Center.

Bible Study @ Birmingham UMC
Thursday Nights at 7:00pm is Bible Study night.
Vacation Bible School
Usually held during July. It doesn’t hurt to always seek ideas and volunteers.
Kids Club
(K-5th grade) Thursday evenings from 5:30 – 7:00pm
(Sept thru April)
Adult Choir
We are always looking for volunteers to sing in our Adult Choir.

- Dress Code: Center United Methodist Church has a “come as you are” atmosphere. You will see some dressed up; some dressed casual. We have no expectations for attire. We would like you to know that we keep are building in great shape and offer an air conditioned sanctuary and fellowship hall.
