About St. Andrew's On-the-Sound


  • Min­istry is not just the province of the ordained, it is God's call on all of our lives. The faith­ful stew­ard­ship of our time, tal­ents and trea­sure is a grate­ful response to God's gifts to us, mak­ing pos­si­ble all of the min­istries of the church.
    When we engage in shared min­istry, we become God's lov­ing sacra­ment to the world. I think that our mis­sion state­ment sums it up well:
    We are the body of Christ; a lov­ing, car­ing, diverse and wel­com­ing com­mu­nity of Chris­t­ian peo­ple com­mit­ted to growth in our knowl­edge and love of God, in bring­ing oth­ers into our fel­low­ship, and in our out­reach to the world around us. We wel­come the faith­ful, the seeker and the doubter, for God's embrace is wide and God's good news is for all.
    At St. Andrew's On-the-Sound we have a num­ber of oppor­tu­ni­ties to engage in this min­istry, both to the church and within the com­mu­nity. I invite you to explore your call here. I believe that you will find your own life enriched as you reach out to others.
