About Logan Chapel CME Church

Logan Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church has a rich heritage of which the entire community can be proud. The earliest history of the church can be traced to a small group of people who were former members and friends of the Mowing Glade AME Zion Church.
Those men and women first met in the home of a Minster and organized Chapel CME Church. At that time the "Church" was name in the minds of the people because there were no buildings ...just a brush arbor.
In the year 1888, 18 years after the formation of the church, proerty was purchased and Logan Christian Methodist Episcopal Church had its beginning. The first worship service was conducted under a brush arbor on the same property as the present edifice.
The original church was remodeled serveral times and as the church cotinued to grow a new edifice was erected in the early 1960s. The christian Traitions of dedication, faith and love countine to penetrate the hearts of Logan Chapel Christian Methodist Church members.
