About Carolina Beach Presbyterian Church
Welcome to Carolina Beach Presbyterian Church! Come and join us for any of our worship services or special events!Carolina Beach Presbyterian Church is a welcoming, inclusive, and caring faith family called by God from diverse backgrounds. Our congregation appreciates worship based on Biblical truths and the Reformed Presbyterian Tradition. Areas of particular interest include music programs, quality Christian education, both local and global missions and meaningful fellowship.
Inside our church and outside its walls, there are plenty of opportunities to serve our community.
We welcome babies, children, and nursing mothers, and we offer opportunities for children to grow in faith.
Our Vision
To worship and glorify God, and with God’s help, make disciples, serve others, and love all creation.

Children and Youth Activities
- Vacation Bible School
Each summer, children 4 years old through 5th grade gather to learn about God through a variety of crafts, puppets, skits, music, Bible study, and service projects at Vacation Bible School. The Rising Women’s Circle of Presbyterian Women lead the congregation in hosting this event for our children and any neighbors, visitors, and friends from the surrounding community. There are always lots of opportunities to participate as a volunteer and we have a great time!
Children’s Worship
Children’s Worship is a special worship experience for young children. At the 11 a.m. service, children 4-7 begin worship in the sanctuary with their parents. After the Passing of the Peace, children come forward for the children’s sermon and then are led to a classroom for Children’s Church. There they sing, pray, listen to a special Bible story told with beautiful wooden figures, and respond with art and other activities. We offer Children’s Worship at the 11 a.m. Sunday service only.
On fifth Sundays of the month and on a few special occasions, we have one Sunday worship service at 9:30 a.m. On those Sundays there is no Children’s Church time so kids are invited to stay in worship or attend the nursery for the remainder of the service.
Sunday School
Sunday Education Hour for Children and Youth meets weekly at 9:45 a.m. in the education wing classrooms that are alongside the fellowship hall. There are five classes, each with focused, age-appropriate curriculum.
Pre-K: Wee Believe
K-2: Growing in Grace and Gratitude (PCUSA)
3-5: Growing in Grace and Gratitude (PCUSA)
6-8: The Thoughtful Christian and 'Middle School Talk Sheets'
9-12: The Thoughtful Christian and Nooma Video Series

Community Activities
- Meals on Wheels
Carolina Beach Presbyterian Church Meals on Wheels prepares and delivers approximately 30 meals to people on the island and across the bridge. We usually prepare this meal on the second Saturday of each month and we’re humbly grateful for the opportunity to serve in our community and thankful for God’s guidance and inspiration. While we depend on a core group each month, there is always a need for the help of other congregation members who wish to be involved on an as-needed basis, e.g., providing a side dish to complement the main entrée, providing homemade bread, providing transportation to deliver the meals, etc. Thank you to the drivers, cooks and kitchen workers who spend part of their Saturday mornings providing this ministry. Please contact the church office or speak with any Meals on Wheels volunteer if you are interested in helping: Sally Hillbeck, Bettie Slusser, Mary Lou Wilson, Cherry Hershey, Harriet Owsley, Gordon Moiles, Betty Safrit, Tootsie Stevens, Wanda and Larry Bell, Don and Judy McMahon.
