Sunday Morning

9:00 Worship

Praising God through singing, prayers, scripture readings, and an offering; and using a variety of audio, visual, and style elements all focused on the worship theme of the day

10:00 Coffee

Gathering with old friends and making new friends, over coffee and donuts

10:30 Sunday School

Opportunities for all ages to learn more about Jesus, the Bible, and living our faith in the world.

Serving the wider World

2nd Sundays:

Pick up 'Yellow Bags' to fill with food items for TEAM (The Emergency Assistance Ministry), our local food bank

3rd Sundays:

Bring loaded Yellow Bags to church, for transport to TEAM

4th Sundays:

'Coffee and Donate' - the money donated in coffee hour is used to support Heifer Project International

    John Knox is a community of faith where different generations come together and find genuine friendship. Together we are dedicated to making a difference in the diverse community of Florissant, Missouri.

    We are part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) We see the life of faith as a journey, and we explore faith creatively in our worship. Using a variety of musical styles and visual components including video clips, our goal is to make Christian faith come alive in our 21st century world.

    We are dedicated to making life better in our community through community service, community events at the church, and providing space for community groups to meet in our building.

Children and Youth Activities

  • Helping Children Grow

    Jesus said, "Let the children come to me, and don't hinder them."

    At John Knox children find a safe, nurturing, and fun environment waiting for them.

    In Sunday School we use the Workshop Rotation Model, which helps kids encounter the stories of the Bible in many different ways, week by week. Storytelling, drama, music, and even a movie room with theatre seats help children have fun while they learn about the love of God.

    Then, kids learn about putting faith into action by doing kid-sized mission projects, like planting a garden near the church building, or helping to collect cans of food for our local food pantry, TEAM. They will find a welcoming place in worship, with a Chidlren's Time segment in each service. There are special events for kids and their parents too, like our annual Kids' Easter Egg Hunt in the spring and our Pumpkin Hunt and Craft Fair in the fall. Then, each summer, we share a week of fun and learning with Vacation Bible School.

    John Knox is a great place for kids - a safe church home where they can learn, make friends, and have fun!
