About East Independence Church of Christ
As followers of Jesus, We are committed to the study and practice of our faith as revealed by the Holy Spirit through the Bible. We are not driven by creeds, but by God's word alone. Since we are falable creations, this necessitates a constant devotion to learning and change in both understanding and practices, as we strive to conform our lives to His will and love like Jesus.Jesus tells us the greatest command is to, "Love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength" – Mark 12:30. As a result, you will find us committed to the study and practice of God's word. We endeavor to cultivate a safe environment for exploring God's word. A place where you can ask questions without fear or judgement, a safe place for your faith journey.
The second greatest command, according to Jesus, is to, "Love your neighbor as yourself" – Mark 12:31. The various ministries of this faith community are born from it's love and passions. They are not driven from the top down, but rather from the hearts of those led by the Holy Spirit to act. We encourage all members of the community to find some way to show God's love and do good.

Children and Youth Activities

The East Independence Church of Christ Youth Group is comprised of dedicated and God-loving teenagers. Their loyalty to one another is surpassed only by their loyalty to God. It is this kind of devotion that binds the group into a close knit second family. The group is made up of Junior High and High school kids, from age 13 to seniors in high school. With some exceptions, the kids all participate in activities together, thus promoting unity in the group. Age differences don't interfere with the strong relationships that are formed.
The Youth group is working toward the same goal- learning and living for God. We welcome anyone who feels that they have a void to fill in their lives. If you come, God will fill it.

We are open Wednesdays 6:30PM to 8:00PM.
