About North Green Street Church of Christ

North Green Street Church of Christ members are your neighbors, your friends, and our family members. We are a Bible-believing, Bible-teaching church that stands uncompromisingly on the inspired Word of God. We want to be the church Jesus said he would build in Matthew 16:18. To do so, we must become the blueprints revealed in the New Testament. We realize we are far from perfect, and we don't ask you to follow us, but to go with us as we follow the steps of Jesus and seek to "walk in the light," as detailed in 1 John 1:7.
Our Mission
Our mission is quite simple: We seek to evangelize the lost and to keep the saved saved. The members at North Green Street Church of Christ seek to grow in the likeness of Christ and to love and serve others in His name, while praising God and proclaiming the good news of Jesus to those in the Tupelo area and the rest of the world.
"We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God." 2 Corinthians 5:20
We Seek To:
GROW: Growing spiritually and becoming transformed into his likeness. "Being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory." 2 Corinthians 5:20
LOVE: Loving others as Jesus has loved us. "As I have loved you, so you must love one another." John 13:34
SERVE: Serving others as Jesus served. "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve." Mark 10:45
PRAISE: Praising God in all we do. "Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise - the fruit of lips that confess his name." Hebrews 13:15
PROCLAIM: Proclaiming the good news as Jesus did. "Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God." Luke 8:1
