About 15th Ave. Baptist Church

Fifteenth Avenue is a warm and loving congregation nestled in the heart of Meridian, Mississippi. Founded in 1890 and located in the hospital district, FABC has a rich heritage of faith, hope and love. As a family of faith, our desire is to "love God and love others".

With dynamic ministry and discipleship opportunities for all age groups, Fifteenth Avenue has a place for everyone and there's always room for one more!

In 1890, a group of mission-minded people left a sister Baptist church and started a mission known as Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church for the purpose of reaching people on the east side of the city of Meridian. In the one hundred and nineteen years since that organizational meeting, the people have changed, and the methods have changed, but the mission remains the same - to reach new people, in new places with the Gospel of Christ.

When asked which of all of commands was the greatest, Jesus said, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind....The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself." He finished by saying, "All the Law and Prophets depend on these two commandments."

Jesus summarized the entirety of Scripture with four little words...words that we have made our burning passion: "Love God...Love Others". This is our calling at Fifteenth Avenue and our mission within our city, our state, our nation and the world. The Apostle John said that the world would know we belong to Jesus by the love we show for one another. Wherever we go, whatever we do, our desire is to be a people who show and share the love of Jesus with all we encounter.
