About Tree of Life Family Church

History of Tree of Life Family Church

Our History

Pastor Warren S. Cary recieved the vision of Tree of Life Family Church while attending Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA. He served as one of the student leaders of Students for Christ Ministries, Inc. while attending Southern University. Shortly following his marriage to Nadine June, Warren was called by God to serve as an Assistant Pastor at Grace Chapel in Atlanta, Texas. He served with Pastor Ron Brazil for three years. The vision at Grace was to win the entire city of Atlanta, TX through the ministry and the word of reconciliation. The ministry of racial reconciliation was birthed into existance while Warren and Nadine evangelized in the Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas.

Pastor Warren and Nadine were sent out from Grace Chapel in response to a call for assistance by Pastor Lesley Ford, Jr. of Living Word Church in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1987. Pastor Warren and Nadine served faithfully with Pastor Ford and the Living Word Church as Youth Pastors for 5 years. Pastor Ford believed in "Souls At Any Cost" and was willing to send and support Pastor Warren and his vision to Win those that were overlooked by the church.

Tree of Life Church had its first service on June 7th, 1992 in S.E. Minneapolis, in the home of Israel Mae Hill. Pastor Nadine and some volunteers from the Living Word Church Ministered to over 70 Children from the neighborhood while Pastor Carey ministered to Mother Hill, Diane Hill, Linda Hill, Dana Broughton, Paris Branch, Willis Waddell, Jackie Bible and a host of people from the Glendale Neighborhood.

The Church continued to meet at Israel Mae Hill's home for the next 4 months. It was quite difficult to minister to adults and children in the same small town home. Pastor Carey would preach in the front room while First Lady Nadine would minister to the children in the kitchen. The church continued to grow and God blessed us with a place to worship in the newly renovated Luxton Park Community Center. The church continued to worship at Luxton Park Community Center for approximately 6 years.

God has given Tree of Life Family Church a very special anointing to speak in a very relevant way that has delivered and set free hundreds of God's people. God has given the founder and Pastor a supernatural joy and a unique love for all people. Tree of Life Family Church International will continue to fulfill the mandate given by Jesus... the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised... to the poor the gospel is preached.
Luke 7:22
