Service Times

Sunday School (9:15 - 10:15)

We offer Sunday School classes for all age groups as well as a fully staffed nursery. Our Junior & Senior High class meets in the JV room. The Good Neighbors class (one of our adult classes) meets in the conference room. Our Christian Bible & Berean Bible classes (our other two adult classes) have been combined for the time being and meet in the main auditorium.

Sunday Morning Worship (10:30 - 11:30)

The morning worship service at Calvary is what is typically called a "blended" service. We sing old hymns as well as new choruses. We use an organ, baby grand piano & electronic piano at every service. At times we sing a cappella and at other times we sing with full motion video background. The purpose of the morning message is help us understand and live out God's Word, so it is very practical in nature. Special services, such as Concerts of Prayer, Missionary Sundays and other types of worship experiences are scattered throughout the year. The pastor uses the New American Standard Bible.

About Calvary Grace Brethren Church

Calvary Calvary Grace Brethren Church is a Bible believing, evangelical church of between 70-80 people which allows us to maintain a close, family-type atmosphere. We believe that everyone needs to have a personal relationship with God which can only be accomplished as individuals place their trust in what Christ accomplished on the cross for them. Salvation is by grace through faith. Our What We Believe page gives a summary of other things we hold to be true.

We are not perfect people, so if you have flaws...you'll fit right in. We do attempt, however, to identify our sinful habits and confess them to the Lord and allow His Spirit to help us become more Christ-like. If you are interested in exploring the Christian faith then please come along on a Sunday or contact the office for more information or to set up an appointment with the pastor.

We offer various types of ministries for each age group and participate in many activities throughout the year through our District and National affiliations. Our services are held primarily on Sunday but several activities take place at other times.

We are located in the west end of Hagerstown, MD, just a few blocks off of Interstate 81 and an easy drive from anywhere in the Washington County area.

Calvary is a member church in the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches and the Mid. Atlantic District of that fellowship. Our motto is: "The Bible, the Whole Bible and Nothing but the Bible."
