    Adult Bible Study for Parents

Do you have perfect kids? Do your children ever cause you problems? If so, then you now have a special place to discuss and learn parenting skills that help you bring your child to Christ. Bring your children to Sunday School this Sunday and attend Adult Bible Study for parents. Here we will discuss the lessons being taught in Sunday School to your children while finding ways to bring Christ into your parenting.

Sunday School Is For Everyone: Infants Through Adults

King of Kings offers Concordia Publishing House (CPH) Sunday school material for all ages. CPH is a unique approach to Sunday school material where every class - infant through adult - has the same Bible story as the basis for their lesson. In this way it is hoped the whole family has more of an opportunity to discuss the material throughout the week from one Sunday to the next. If you and your children would like to enroll in our Sunday school program please call our Sunday School Superintendent, Ali, through the Church Office at 913-856-2500.

    New Member Classes

We offer a class for everyone interested in joining King of Kings Lutheran Church. Basic Christian beliefs are explained. The classes meet on periodically throughout the year. Seasoned Lutherans and those new to the faith will benefit from the time spent reviewing and discussing basic Christian beliefs.

    Lutheran Early Response Team

The mission of the Lutheran Early Response Team is to provide teams of trained volunteers, serving our churches and communities as part of a disaster outreach ministry, assisting in a collaborated and coordinated response in cooperation and communication with the District Disaster Response Coordinators and Teams.

The goal of the Lutheran Early Response Teams program is to provide local churches with the opportunity to sponsor trained and equipped volunteers who will work in a variety of disaster outreach ministries, such as cleanup and debris removal, basic repair and property protection while working in conjunction with District Disaster Response Coordinators and District Disaster Response Teams.

LERT’s first obligation is to Lutheran churches in the affected area after a disaster strikes, second to Lutheran church members in the affected area, and third to the general population outside the Lutheran church.

The Pastors of an affected church/area are encouraged to notify the District Office who can in turn notify our LERT Chairman. They can contact the LERT Chairman directly. This would then elicit a response of having one of our team members contact that same pastor/church and make arrangements to come and assess the situation and recommend a fitting response from our LERT volunteers.

For more information contact our local LERT squad leaders: Ed at 913-302-2770 or Mark 913-209-9324
