About Community Church of South Haven

Welcome to our church!

We are . . .

a non-denominational church with membership by profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Our purpose . . .

is to help people know Jesus Christ eternally, to grow strong in faith and to bring others to God.

What We Believe

We believe . . .

There is one God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ is the son of God.

The Holy Spirit is in the world to make us aware of our need for Jesus Christ; and provides Christians with power for living, and understanding and doing what is right.

Salvation is a free gift. It is not earned or deserved. Eternal life begins the moment one accepts Jesus Christ as Savior.

Our sins separate us from God. The penalty for sin is death.

Jesus died on the cross to pay for all our sins.

Whosoever believes in Jesus shall have eternal life.

Him that cometh to me (Jesus) I will no no wise cast out.

The Bible is God's Word to all of us. It is the supreme source of truth of Christian beliefs and living.

The sacraments . . .

Water baptism: Following repentance and profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, we are baptized by water in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

At the request of the parents, babies and young children may be dedicated or baptized during a worship service.

The Lord's Supper: Communion, the remembrance of Jesus' sacrifice on the Cross, is served at least once per month. All those who love Jesus are welcome at the table.
