We are an historic church: built in 1956, we have roots in this community. Our church knows and loves Iowa City.
We are a progressive community: multicultural, community-focused, hope-oriented. We build the Kingdom. We await restoration.
Our Mission
To repent before the cross.
To hope in the resurrection.
To love God and our neighbor.
To invite others to do the same.
What We Believe
We are an Assemblies of God church. We believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth.
We believe in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, And born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, Was crucified, died, and was buried. He went down into the grave. The third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven And is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, The holy world-wide church, The communion of Christians, The forgiveness of sins, The resurrection of the body, And life everlasting.
