About Lambs Chapel United Methodist Church
Lamb's Chapel Welcomes You HomeIn these uncertain times, it is especially important that we show our love for one another.
Stopping or slowing the spread of germs is one of the best ways we can take care of each other right now. To that end, we will be cancelling the 9:00AM service, and having only one service at 10:00AM. Social distancing will be practiced and masks, hand sanitizer, and gloves will be provided if you don't have your own. We will continue to live-stream our service at 10:00AM via Facebook on the Lamb's Chapel page for those who need to remain sheltered in place. We will be keeping all of you in our prayers. Stay home and stay safe.
Welcome to Lamb's. How may we serve you?
Lamb's Chapel is a flawed but hopeful congregation that exists to help all people take their next step toward Jesus Christ.
All are welcome here. Those who have preceded you through our doors can assure you that regardless of your current circumstances, there is a place at our table for you. No amount of income or lack of it matters here.
We are all here to take our next best step towards the joyous life God designed for us. For some of us that will be toward a new job or settling into a new community. For others it may be a step away from addiction or an abusive situation. For others still, it is the next step toward a deeper personal relationship with our Creator and discovering how best they can serve in community with others.
We understand that God takes us where we're at and promises not to leave us there! We believe that is Good News indeed.

Children and Youth Activities
- Children's Ministry
Lamb’s KidsZone is where our children, age 5 through 5th grade, learn about Jesus through stories, games and crafts in a safe, caring and welcoming setting. Our Kids’ Zone teachers, led by Tina Bernth, believe in the importance of our children as the heart and future of our church.
Each week following their class, at the end of the contemporary service, they share with Pastor Jay the lesson they have learned, bring food pantry items to the altar to be blessed and raise their hands, with the pastor to bless the congregation for the week ahead.
Nursery is available for our youngest attendees.
Youth Ministry
H.O.P.E. (Help Our People Everywhere)
H.O.P.E. reflects how we see our youth. Here at Lamb’s Chapel we have a prayerful focus on serving the I-Gen youth of our church. It begins by being very active and available in the lives of our teens and youth.
We do this through creating a space just for them, where they can meet and work on a variety of projects following our weekly service. Our youth are involved in fundraising for the group activities and outings that occur every month. They are encouraged to invite friends and share their faith in this safe and encouraging environment, created just for them under the leadership of Darin Warkentein.
Ministries
- Lamb's Ladies
Each Thursday afternoon at 1 pm, our ladies are invited to participate in the prayerful study of each week’s sermon and discussion on how we can apply the lessons learned to our role as wives, mothers, grandmothers, aunts and mentors to both our families and younger women. Facilitator is Kathie Hempel.
Our Girl’s Day Out each month is open to all women ages 18 – 90. We work on crafts and dine together at church or plan for outings to shows and theater, spa days and special events, where we can interact and get to know one another’s daily lives. Organized by Tonya Parrett and Tammy Doucette.
Our women have created and are involved with a yearly retreat called the Chocolate Getaway. Women and chocolate; enough said.
