About St. Mark's Episcopal Church
St. Mark’s Episcopal Church is a church of the Episcopal Diocese of Springfield (IL), situated in Franklin County. While the city of West Frankfort is our “home,’ our members reside throughout a 3-county area and are engaged in their communities in a variety of ways, being Christ to those they encounter.Our mission is to be a Church that can be a safe gathering place for people to come and experience the grace and forgiveness of God through the love of the Body of Christ. Rooted in Word and Sacrament, we are a family of believers where people can find healing for the things that have hurt and wounded their souls, and where they can “come to believe.”
St. Mark’s is a church where people can be nurtured into faith in the one true God and in Jesus Christ whom he has sent, by the power of the Holy Spirit.

- St. Mark's is small but mighty. We are actively engaged in two major outreach projects. During the school year we provide weekend food bags to nearly 100 children at our local Pre-K through 2nd grade elementary school.
