About Community United Church of Christ

We believe truth from the Holy Spirit is found in all the traditions of the Christian faith. Our friends and members come from multiple traditions.

We affirm the revelation of God in our Lord Jesus Christ is available to all believers through the Holy Spirit.

We regard the Bible as God’s supreme literary means of guiding the Church, because it contains foundational expressions of this revelation.

We affirm the fundamental validity of all creeds that have sought to verbalize this revelation, but we acknowledge that, as Jesus Christ alone is the authority for the Church, no historical creed can do more than point to him.

We observe the Sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion, and the Rites of Infant Dedication, Confirmation, Christian Marriage and Christian Burial.

We accept several forms of administering the Sacraments: in Holy Baptism sprinkling or immersion; in Holy Communion altar, pew and private communion for the sick and home bound.
