PEOPLE, NOT PROGRAMS
We reach to real and/or felt needs of individuals. Programs will be developed to meet needs but will not be the centerpiece of our mission. we will put people first and the organization second. We choose to be servants, loving everyone in the midst of their dilemmas of life. We are seeking Spirit-led and innovative ministry at all times.
We embrace those who attend The Torch as individuals through whom God desires to minister. The staff’s purpose is enabling and equipping saints to do ministry. The staff will serve the body and constantly look for opportunities to equip our members to involve themselves in ministry.
PRAYER
Dialogue with God is the focal point of developing communion as well as building an intimate relationship with Him. Communion with God is the means to interact with the power and presence of God. Since we cannot survive on human ingenuity, we must seek the Father for His power, anointing, and presence in our everyday lives. Therefore, prayer is absolutely essential.
PRAISE
We attempt to maintain music that is current with our culture. We utilize multiple connection points in both worship and the delivery of the Word. Drama, multi-media, visuals, worship teams, and props are utilized to engage people. We encourage and facilitate participatory worship.
PREACH THE WORD
We will be a Bible-focused organization. We believe in Scripture as the never-changing, perfect, divinely inspired Word of God. As such, it will never fail as our operations manual. Therefore, we choose to be clearly Biblical in our orientation. We intend to lead individuals to a deeper walk with the Lord as we declare the Word of God.
POWER THE HOLY SPIRIT
We can do nothing of lasting value without Him. Yet, as he operates among us through the flow of His gifts, lives are changed and transformed by grace.

Children and Youth Activities
- TORCH KIDS
The Torch Kids’ environment is designed specifically for children. From the moment your child arrives, he or she will experience a welcoming, safe environment filled with activities to foster a disciple-making journey. We engage children in live worship, skit lessons, videos, interactive Biblical learning, and prayer. Our desire is to give your child the opportunity to celebrate God and share life with believers.
Our Security Team implements a strict check-in and check-out policy monitored by security cameras to assure the safety of your child in our ever-changing world. Our staff members and volunteers undergo background checks. Our Nursery and Pre-School Staff are CPR Certified. Be assured, you can feel confident in leaving your children, knowing they are in good hands. Your child’s safety is our priority.
When you come to check in your child for the first time, we will ask for you to give us information which will ensure who your child can leave with (i.e. – designated parents, guardians, friends or family members). We will also ask about specific allergies and/or special needs your child may have in order to create a comfortable first-time TorchKids’ experience.
ONEWAY STUDENTS
Oneway Students is a place for middle and high school students to have an encounter with God on a weekly basis while building healthy relationships with the youth pastors, leaders, and fellow students. Our vision is to inspire the younger generation to live for Jesus daily. Join us every Wednesday night at a campus. Doors open at 6:00 PM and service starts at 7:00 PM. Free Food Giveaways:
At The Torch, we have monthly food giveaways at our Demorest campus. This is an opportunity for our church family to come together toward our mission of healing hurts in our community. If you would like to volunteer and be a part of this event, please check the dates and times below.

Open Door Food Pantry
The Torch Worship Center Open Door Food pantry is reaching the community with God’s love and kindness. Our volunteers want to help meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those we serve. This is being accomplished by Spirit-led people honoring others by supplying food, prayer, and extending God’s love to them.
