Our History of Faith and Vision for our church
Empowered by the Holy Spirit and claiming the promise of our Lord Jesus Christ, our mission is:
To Proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ in all our ministries;
To Witness to Jesus Christ by word and deed so that others may have faith in Him;
To Nurture each other as we grow in faith;
To Equip ourselves and others to share the Gospel;
To Serve each other and the community; and
To Care for God's creation.
Our inaugural worship service was held at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Hartwell, Georgia on June 20, 1993. The congregation grew and in 1999 moved into our first "home" at 900 Benson Street in Hartwell. Soon it was time to grow with Hartwell and plans were made to build a permanent church on a parcel of land the church owned at 691 Benson Street, Hartwell. The first worship service in our new church building was held on October 28, 2007.
God has blessed us with His abundant love and grace. We are so proud to call Faith Lutheran our church home.
