About Center of Light

The Center of Light is a mystical Christian community dedicated to consciousness, spiritual growth, and empowerment. Much like the spiritual communities that mystics such as St. Francis of Assisi and Paramahansa Yogananda created, the Center of Light is a shining, warm place for people searching for inner truth, meaning and direct relationship with God. We teach, share, and cultivate spirituality through sacraments, meditation, seminars, classes, and practical instruction in order to bring people into real, deep experiences of God.
The Center of Light provides regular services and sacraments. Over and over again, we see real change occurring in people who take advantage of these offerings. Weekday services include a 30-minute meditation, a spiritual reading, and Communion. Many people who have experienced Communion at our Center comment on how powerful it is, and everyone is welcome to receive Communion regardless of their affiliations or beliefs. On Sundays, our services also include singing, a student sermon, a Gospel reading and a sermon from a priest or Master Teacher.
We offer a free 6-week introductory course in meditation and mysticism every Tuesday night at 7:30 PM. This ongoing class is open to anyone and people can join at any time during the 6 weeks.
There are 11 Centers of Light across the United States, forming local spiritual communities that support the growth and development of each congregation’s individuals. The great thing about spiritual community is that it is a safe haven to share, learn and be honest – and it is an integral part of living a happier life. Without a support system of like-minded people, life can get lonely and tough. Communities participate in all sorts of activities, including conscious movies, camping, volunteering, sharing and classes.
