About El Cajon Boulevard Church of Christ

We are quite simply a group of Christians who meet together as a body to serve our Lord, Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God. We strive to live according to His way as revealed in the Bible which we firmly believe to be the inspired Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21). As such, we do not hold to any other books or creeds. The Church of Christ around the world is made up of thousands of local congregations, yet we are all independent regarding oversight, and each regard only our Lord Jesus Christ as the sovereign head of His Church (Colossians 1:18).

As Christians, we believe that our purpose in life is to love the Lord God with all of our heart, soul and mind and then to love others as Christ has loved us (Luke 10:27; John 13:34-35). In giving ourselves to God in this way we can then fulfill our role to be lights to a lost world that they too may be reconciled to God (Matthew 5:13-16; 28:19-20).
