About American Hungarian Baptist Church
-
In the afternoon at three o'clock on Christmas Day, in 1925, a handful of Hungarian believers gathered together for worship in the home of IMRE ROSENBERG's family in Los Angeles. Neither the congregation nor the mission were officially established and organized there.
In August, 1926 the congregation moved to one of the halls of the South Park Baptist Church. In 1941 they purchased a church building with 350 seats capacity, at the corner of 43rd Street and Grand Avenue in Los Angeles.
In 1965 they sold this church building, purchased the land of the recent church facilities, and started the construction of the new church building. During the construction the Sunday worships were held in the local personage house. After the laying of the foundation-stone in 1966, the house of the Lord was built.
