About Hunter Street Baptist Church

What we believe

At Hunter Street, we use scripture as the foundation for everything we do. We believe the Bible contains God's revelation of Himself to us, seen most clearly in Jesus Christ.

Our Purpose and Statement of Faith

Hunter Street Baptist Church exists to lead people to Jesus Christ and church membership, develop them to Christ-like maturity, equip them for ministry and send them on mission in order to magnify God.
Statement of Faith

1. In essential beliefs—we have unity.

“There is one body and one Spirit - just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call - one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” – Ephesians 4:4-6

2. In non-essential beliefs—we have liberty.

“As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions... Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls... So then each of us will give an account of himself to God... The faith that you have, keep between yourself and God.” – Romans 14:1,4,12,22

3. In all our beliefs—we show love.

“…And if I understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.” – 1 Corinthians 13:2
