About St Stephen's Episcopal Church
- The first session of our Day school began on September 8, 1975, with an enrollment of 30 children, one teacher, and one assistant. Over the years we have seen additional classes added and therefore, additional staff hired. In 1992 the then new education wing was opened. At that time 141 children were enrolled. Four teachers and 4 aides were hired for the 1992-1993 session due to the increase in available classrooms. September of 1992 saw the addition of “Extended Care” service for working parents; with 3 aides maintain the coverage. We continue to offer our Extended Care program enabling students in the Whitehall Public School Kindergarten and working parents with children enrolled in our school, before and after school care for their children.
