About Baughman Memorial United Methodist Church

Baughman Memorial UMC serves residents of Harrisburg’s West & East Shore (New Cumberland, Lemoyne, Camp Hill, Mechanicsburg, & Harrisburg). We are a United Methodist Church and nonprofit organization committed to sharing the Love of God, the power of Jesus Christ, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit and strengthening our community.

We are a body of believers united in Christ with a heart to nurture, edify and reach out to a suffering world with the saving message of the gospel.

We offer Saturday and Sunday Worship services, Sunday School for all ages and faith development opportunities. Faith development includes small groups that meet at Baughman or someone’s home or venue of the group’s choice, prayer, service projects and more.

Children and Youth Activities

Children and Youth Ministries

Baughman United Methodist Church has a newly renovated education wing, ready to serve your family. All children and youth ministries are offered by staff and volunteers that are Safe Sanctuary Certified and have completed Safe Sanctuary Training and Certification, PA State Police Criminal History and the PA Child Abuse History Clearance.

Children will experience Jesus in a fun, bible-focused environment.

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

The nursery is open during the 10:15 a.m. worship and Sunday School hour.

We also offer nursery care during other faith development opportunities throughout the week, depending on the need.

Baughman’s children enjoy a fun Sunday School hour filled with music, games, and crafts all centered on the bible. Kids will learn about the storied individuals that ultimately help our children build an understanding of the bible.

We may also offer additional children’s care and faith development during class opportunities throughout the week, depending on the need.

Middle school and high schoolers are welcome to attend Baughman’s youth activities! Youth Sunday School class is held at 10:15 a.m.

BYG (pronounced “big”) is Baughman Youth Group! BYG meets on Sundays at 6:30 p.m. There’s open gym time, a Bible lesson/testimony, and a fun activity like Human Hungry Hungry Hippos or board games.
