  • Other Information: The sacrament of Holy Communion is usually celebrated the second and fourth Sundays of the month. The Synod to which we belong, The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod, has a policy of closed communion among its churches. This means that you should first be taught what we believe before receiving communion here. Whenever you take communion in any church, you are making a confession that you agree with the doctrine being taught there. Our Lord Jesus Christ's very body and blood are present under the bread and wine for the forgiveness of sins, eternal life, and salvation. He also gives this gift to strengthen our union with him and with one another. Scripture teaches that those who eat and drink our Lord's body and blood unworthily do so to their great harm. If you are not yet instructed in Luther's Small Catechism, or are in any doubt, and yet desire to receive the sacrament, please contact the pastor before visiting or arrive for service early enough to speak with the pastor.
