Excellence in Ministry
Excellence in Ministry represents God’s vision and direction for Sunset Chapel, as laid upon the heart of Pastor Russ and Sunset Chapel’s ministry team and lay leaders.
The Holy Spirit is confirming in our hearts who He is calling us to be, and the ministry opportunities that are before us. The scripture verse that follows is the biblical foundation and precedent for the process we have completed to “inscribe the vision” that God is giving to us at Sunset Chapel.
Then the Lord answered me and said, “Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets, that the one who reads it may run. For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it hastens toward the goal, and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; for it will certainly come, it will not delay.

Increase the overall quality of our ministries and improve the ease with which people become aware of and/or involved in them.
To become a church where every person in the body can point to definite ways they are fulfilling our four-fold mission in their personal lives.
We will be a church where everyone is significantly linked in meaningful relationships derived from personal friendships, small groups, mid-sized discipleship classes and ministry involvement.
Respond to the command of Matthew 25 by practicing basic Christian compassion to people in need, in our community and around the world.

Children and Youth Activities
- Sunset Chapel Children's Ministry
We love Kids! Children who are Pre-K4 through 5th grade are invited to join us every Sunday at 11:00 AM for their own worship experience! We are committed to working with you and your children to give them a spiritual foundation they can build their lives on! Every Sunday kids can join us in the Kids Chapel located in the 300 Bldg. This is where kids will learn life lessons based on recurring themes that include games, songs, skits and a Bible Story! Kids can also earn “Gold Coins” each week for the following:

We try to provide an exciting and energetic atmosphere for your kids to encounter the presence of God! We teach exciting Bible Lessons that are interactive and make them relevant to today’s children. We are here to help you in your most important task; raising your children for God’s glory!
